Track Engine
The track engine of VirtualDJ is very simple. You can select up to four tracks, drag them to the selection area, and click the Mix button to start playing them back to back. The track engine is great for DJing, but also has the flexibility of being able to play back audio clips or audio files. You can use this feature to make some cool effects with audio clips and as long as you know how to use some audio editing programs, you can achieve quite a lot with it.
You can also duplicate the currently selected tracks and copy/paste them to create a second track. The track engine can also loop tracks with a single click.
Library View
The Library view is where all your tracks are stored, and is where you will be spending the majority of your time. You can sort and filter tracks with ease and view detailed information such as track length and artist name. You can also view detailed information about each track by clicking the info button in the top right corner.
The track list is where you will be placing your tracks while DJing. You can add tracks to this area with one click, or double click on an existing track to add it. You can also remove tracks by clicking the trash button.
If you have a small music library you can add tracks to the track list with one click and then add a second track with one click. This can save you a lot of time and allow you to quickly add tracks to the mix.
